The Merging Technologies PT64V3 expansion card enables connectivity of a Pro Tools HDX system to a Merging Technologies Hapi Mk III, allowing low latency connection from Pro Tools to a RAVENNA/AES67 or DANTE network.
The PT64V3 card is the best way to use Merging Technologies and Neumann’s pristine preamps, AD and DA, to record and playback to and from a Pro Tools HDX system.
It also allows to connect a Pro Tools HDX system to the various “Missions” running on a Neumann MT 48 or Merging Technologies Anubis, for the best control room monitoring solution, personal cue mixes and so much more.
A single PT64V3 card can connect to an HDX card via two DigiLink Mini connectors, to send and receive 64 channels @ 48 kHz (32 channels @ 96 kHz, 16 channels @ 192 kHz).
Two PT64V3 cards can be fitted in a single Hapi Mk III for up to 128 channels to and from an HDX2 system.
Two Hapi Mk III equipped with a total of three PT64V3 cards can interface with an HDX3 system for up to 192 DigiLink I/O to the network.
A Hapi Mk III can also be fitted with one PT64V3 card and a MADI128V3 card while still running the built in 8 AES3 channels and 8 ADAT channels bringing the maximum number of outputs to the network to 208 or 210 inputs from the network in Ravenna/ AES67 mode.
PT64V3 card can emulate HD I/O, HD MADI and 192 I/O hardware latencies in order for Pro Tools to correctly compensate for hardware delay after recording passes and help maintain mixed configurations in sync.
Notes:
- In Dante mode, Hapi Mk III can run a maximum of 64 channels to and from the network (with the correct Audinate I/O license), meaning only one PT64 card can be routed to/from the network.
- PT64V3 card is also compatible with the Hapi Mk II.
- PT64V3 card also supports HD Native and HD Native Thunderbolt
- HDX systems running Pro Tools versions older than 2022.4, also require a DigiLink I/O license to connect to the PT64V3 card.
